1.Quartz crucible can be used under 1450ºC, which is divided into transparent and opaque. 2.Do not touch HF. At high temperatures, it is easy to react with caustic soda and alkali metal carbonate.
3.Quartz crucible is suitable for melting samples with K2S2O7, KHSO4 as fluxes and treating samples with Na2S207 (firstly dried at 212ºC) as fluxes.
4.Quartz is brittle and easy to break, so attention should be paid when using it.
