Graphite crucible, also known as molten copper package, molten copper, etc., refers to a kind of crucible made of graphite, clay, quartz and waxstone fired by high temperature. Graphite crucible is mainly used to smelt colored metals and their alloys such as purple copper, yellow copper, gold, silver, zinc and lead. Graphite crucible is made of natural flake graphite as the main raw material, processed with plastic refractory clay or carbon as binder. It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, strong thermal conductivity, good corrosion resistance, long service life and so on. In the process of high temperature use, the coefficient of thermal expansion is small, and it has good resistance to sudden cooling and heating. It has strong acid and alkali resistance, excellent chemical stability, and does not participate in any chemical reactions during the smelting process. The inner wall of the graphite crucible is smooth, and the melted metal liquid is not easy to leak and adhere to the inner wall of the crucible. This makes the metal liquid have good fluidity and casting properties, which is suitable for various casting molds. Due to the above excellent characteristics of graphite crucible, it is widely used in smelting alloy tool steel and smelting non-ferrous metals and their alloys.
