1~4mm Zinc Sulfide Zns High Purity Evaporation Material for Vacuum Coating/PVD
 ZnS is white to faint yellow, Soluble in acids, Insoluble in water, H2O, ethanol; soluble in dilute acid. Dielectric constant:1.7(Ambient ), Stable. May react with water to give toxic hydrogen sulfide. Incompatible with acids, strong oxidizing agents. Air and moisture sensitive.
Uses Zinc sulfide (ZnS) is widely used in the production of infrared windows, fairing and infrared optical components, with high purity, insoluble in water, moderate density, easy processing and other characteristics. Zinc sulfide (ZnS) has good refractive index uniformity and consistency, with good image transmission performance in the 8-12μm wavelength range, but some absorption begins after 10um. In the mid-infrared wavelength band, the transmittance is high, and with the shortening of the wavelength, the absorption and scattering are enhanced. Zinc sulfide (ZnS) has strong resistance to harsh environments, high hardness, and twice the fracture strength of zinc selenide (ZnSe).
Tough front optics for thermal imaging systems based on zinc sulfide (ZnS) for infrared windows and thermal bands (8 to 14 μm). Single crystal zinc sulfide (ZnS) is available but not common. In the commonly used spectral range, scattering is very low. When strictly controlling the bulk absorption and internal structural defects of the material, the use of minimal destructive polishing techniques and the highest optical quality coating process can be used for high-power laser devices. Zinc sulfide (ZnS) significantly oxidizes at 300°C, shows plastic deformation at about 500°C, and dissociates at about 700°C. For safety reasons, zinc sulfide windows should not be used above 250°C in normal atmospheric conditions.
Used as analytical reagents, phosphors, and photoconductor materials. Also used in the manufacture of dyes, coatings, pigments, glass, and curing oils. Used as a target material for various optical coatings and laser windows. X-ray fluorescent screen. Add trace amounts of radium or new thorium salts to the luminous dial of a watch. Television fluorescent screen. Paint pigments.
